FAYY presents the Manman Panda Watch, its debut timepiece and the first chapter in its mission to bring Chinese art and heritage into watchmaking. Conceived as a Métiers d'Art timepiece and known internally as Project FA001, the watch is entered in the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2026 in the Artistic Crafts category.
At its heart is a portrait of Manman, a wild giant panda imagined by FAYY, painted by hand on the underside of the sapphire crystal using Chinese inner-painting, a national-level intangible cultural heritage craft. Through this reverse-painting process, the sapphire ceases to be merely a protective surface and becomes the art form itself.

A Collaboration with Master Lai Sijia
This timepiece was created in collaboration with Master Lai Sijia, third-generation inheritor of Guangdong inner painting, a tradition protected within China’s national-level intangible cultural heritage framework. Master Lai’s works have been collected by several museums and widely covered by major state media.
A First Chapter for FAYY.
Together, FAYY and Master Lai have launched the Manman Panda watch, the first timepiece in the history of watchmaking to combine national-level inner painting with professional horological craftsmanship. Each panda artwork is painted entirely by hand in multiple layers, requiring at least 3,000 brushstrokes and around 6 to 8 days to complete, making every watch a unique, one-of-a-kind piece.
